Acknowledgements

The creation of this website, its databases, and its guides would not have been possible without the invaluable help and guidance of many individuals and institutions. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the following:

Paul Gorry is a genealogist whose discussions and insights inspired the initial idea for this project. His time and expertise were instrumental in shaping various aspects of the work. My friend Kannen Singelee advised me on user experience (UX) and website structure. His feedback greatly enhanced the site's usability.

My brother Gerard Laverty and his two sons Michael and Ronan offered advice and support on the website's design. My friend Marie Wadie and Newry Library's Heritage Officer Chris Cassidy helped with some of the transcription. The icons used for the buttons come from  various sites including: https://icon-icons.com/   and

https://www.onlinewebfonts.com/icon

I would also like to acknowledge the prior research on the convert rolls by the late

Eileen O'Byrne and Anne Chamney without

whom the project would not have been

possible.

Eileen O'Byrne was a founding member of the Association of Professional Genealogists in Ireland

(now Accredited Genealogists Ireland). She contributed significantly to Irish genealogy through her work, including editing The Convert Rolls (Dublin, 1981). Her pioneering efforts earned her a fellowship of the Society in 2005.

Anne Chamney was Responsible for publishing

Fr. Wallace Clare's annotated list of Irish converts in The Convert Rolls (Irish Manuscript Commission, 2005), Anne transcribed over 7,000 deeds from films of the Registry of Deeds, making this valuable data available to a wider audience. She was awarded a fellowship of the Society in 2000.
